American singer/songwriter Vanessa Peters performs at the Acoustic Café at CB2 on Wednesday August 15 as part of her UK tour. Voted as one of the top 10 folk artists in Austin, Vanessa Peters is already well known in her home state of Texas. In the last two years, she has criss-crossed America twice and toured all over Italy, Holland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Her music is a blend of various genres, covering the Americana-rock of Wilco and the Jayhawks, the folk-tinged songs of Patty Griffin, and the pop-rock of Aimee Mann.
Also playing is Marina Florance whose debut album “Somewhere Down The Line” has just been released and showcases her deep warm voice and the quality of her original songs which are a mix of new folk, acoustic and country styles.
