Joining resident singer/songwriter Bernard Hoskin for a night of acoustic music on the top floor of CB2 will Ruby Muse and the Simon Hopper Band.

RUBY MUSE
Formed in 2005, Ruby Muse highlights the songwriting of Jools and Malcolm Heyes. On stage, together with Hannah Gimeno on violin, they create a distinctive mix of lyrical guitar-oriented acoustic rock ? with folk, blues, jazz and poetic influences ? seasoned with a cajun feel from fiddle and mandolin. Tonight they will be joined by Ian Newman on double bass and Vic Blake on drums.

SIMON HOPPER BAND
Simon is a singer/songwriter of some individuality. His songs are jazz-influenced, acoustic, soul-based folk rock influenced by Brit-Folk, Joni Mitchell, Loudon Wainwright, Ron Sexsmith & Dylan. He has been a shadowy figure around the folk/roots scene in London for almost two decades. If you were lucky, you'd have seen him in the early 90's hosting the now defunct Bromley Acoustic Music Club where he welcomed - and usually played support to - a who's who of British and American roots artists including Jansch, Renbourne, Wizz Jones, Davy Graham and Boo Hewerdine. You might have caught one of his rare solo headline gigs at Soho's 12 Bar Club or seen him there as resident support to Jackie Leven in the mid-90's. In 2006 he is re-emerging with this fine new band which tonight will be a duo line up with Leigh Trowbridge on electric guitar.
