7 Bands, One Evening:
THAT FUCKING TANK - 2 men in pants play LOUD guitar music that owes a little to AC/DC and a whole lot more to Lightning Bolt. Supreme rockin'.
JOHNNY FOREIGNER - Much hyped 3 piece indie-rock act from Birmingham. Spazzy guitars, gain up to 11, and bastard pop songs ahoy.
TELEVISE - Simon from Slowdive plays a mix of shoegazer sounds and electronic ambience. Take Stars Of The Lid etc. as a reference point.
FUZZY LIGHTS - Playing a full band show. At the more experimental end of the post-rock spectrum, giving off hints of The Grails and a strong folk influence.
THE TUPOLEV GHOST - Local noise-rock/post-hardcore taking cues from all things Dischord, Touch & Go and Desoto. Glowing review from Drowned In Sound recently and will be playing 2 new songs.
THE PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT - Cambridge's premier cardi-core exports. Expect sweets, suits and a fair few tunes too.
MY PSYCHOANALYST - Just added to the bill. Gargantun sounding three-piece from just outside London. Performed a 3 song session on Huw Stephen's Radio 1 show only this week and play My Blood Valentine style guitars and whispered melodies.
Be there early. 6pm start.
