Nestled somewhere between one flight of stairs below Napier Street and the very depths of hell you will find cabaret Vulgaris kicking back to the tune of her own debauchery. An avenue for new talent; seasoned performers; and a vent for cheeky self expression for those who attend. Taking over the Cellar Bar for one night of cheeky self-impression and sultry sparklings for a cornucopia of live entertainment until the small hours, sloshed with cocktails and swinging to from sexy to sexy beat, from playfully amorous acoustical to twenty-first century belly-shaking.

Compered throughout the night by Natalie Lake, returning to the stage from a storming Ladyfest stint to add a hefty dollop of sauce to the Vulgaris pie, introduce the acts and brighten up our evening. Those acts in yet to be ordained order...

The Benjamin Theory brings folkerotica with a wry smile to the stage for of shambolic tales of life's niceness and nastiness.

The Jelly Royale's bring a mix of "funk-cum-disco-Hip-hop-cum-reggae-cum-jazz-cum-your mum", apparently, which is just the sort of thing you would expect of a band comprising of an Englishman, a Slovak, a Blonde, her Mother and a Scot. They're going to make you shake your ass off and leave you feeling rather disoriented.

Don't let Divoka Bara get her hands on you during her bourbon and coup fuelled rampage. Stage performance has 6 inches of heel on the neck of a man; domineering, bottle-smashing and ever so slightly terrifying in the best sort of way.

Hannah Dunleavy will raise up humour with a tickle and tease (especially in those wondrous costumes we will all be wearing), blistering wit, and a skillful tongue.

Belly dancing to anything with a rhythm, Emma the Belly Dancer twists and turns with pretty colours and lots of sparkles, controlling the senses with a flick of her hips.

There won't be a dry seat in the house. Howlin' Flaneurs Goy on Goy touch base in live floor and lap show. High-Impact Karaoke for you slack-jawed palotins.

At midnight DJ Alka comes out and we will dance. Riding the joy of the previous three hours, electro-house-breaks-hop sounds will make you move. Those disgustingly dirty beats will be the perfect end to a perfect night.

Now that looks pretty good, so it would be rude not to invite you and your lovely friends to the Cellar Bar off Napier Street, on the 8th of June no less. Starting at the show at the evening hour of nine (dors from 8.30pm). It'll only cost you £4 if you come dressed up all nice n'all (Burlesque/Cabaret/Freakshow), and for all the rest of you it will be £7, putting the price of laziness at three beans.

Come and show us what you've got!
