GET HUSTLE
Get Hustle's 2000 album Earth Odyssey set a blueprint of sorts that married together the clattering percussion of San Diego hardcore (unsurprising as drummer Maximillion was responsible for the brain-frying explosions that propelled the infamous Antioch Arrow) with a vaudevillian, horror-flick aesthetic designed to confuse the audience enough for a genuine spectacle to occur in the space created in the listener/viewer's brain. It's like they mess with you so much that any preconceptions are gone and you see the music for what it is. A band that delivers epiphanies! A rare occurrence, let's be honest. Their cover of Bo Diddley's Who Do You Love? was truly mindblowing, a total deconstruction of the already awesome original into a bizarre series of rhythmic grunting and thick, wheezy organ. And that's before we even get to Valentine's vocals which are fucking mindblowing. And that's even before we get to the live show. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though... Their recent LP Rollin' In The Ruins takes things to new extremes with a sudden love of true rock bombast. It's somewhere between Screamin Jay Hawkins, Ike & Tina Turner, The MC5 and the craziest, loosest hardcore you could imagine. Played on drums, organ and vocals.

GREY DATURAS
From Melbourne, Australia, Grey Daturas is an improvisational, instrumental, noise-rock trio. Since their earliest shows in 2001 - creating live soundtracks to 16mm film projections on the hoof - they've achieved a reputation for being one of the loudest and most uncompromising live acts in their homeland, taking influence from The Stooges, Earth, John Coltrane, Cluster, John Cage, Darkthrone and d.n.a. In 2005, the band toured the continent with Yellow Swans, giving rise to a number of collaborative releases.

LOVVERS
Puerile spazzed-out punk that hits all the right notes. Lovvers are a firecracker of a band – on stage they erupt, splintering with all limbs flailing, catharsis via controlled chaos. It’s easy to be frightened, but let these demons infect your senses of an evening and you’ll experience one of the rides of your life. Expect a chaotic mixture of fractured guitar and mangled vocals, redolent of The Germs and early 90s US acts such as Scratch Acid and The Monorchid. Awesome stuff.
