Christmas tree collection

Thursday 9th January 2020

Venue: Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

The Christmas tree recycling scheme needs you!

*You may not be thinking about it yet, but we are already putting plans in place for our annual Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme. * This line added for early news article on website – linked to from September Arthur’s Update

We are now entering our fifth year of the scheme and the time has come when we are once again looking for volunteers to help our Christmas tree recycling scheme. We need as much support as possible to promote the collection by leafleting in the run up to the event and support in collecting the trees on the mass tree treasure hunt in January (9, 10 & 11). What we particularly need this year is people with vans to help collect the trees.

The Christmas tree recycling scheme works very simply; anyone who lives in postcode areas CB1, CB2, CB22, CB3, CB23, CB4, CB24 and CB5 and doesn’t want the hassle of getting rid of their tree, can register online at arhc.org.uk/treerecycling to have it collected by us. We welcome a small donation to the charity in exchange for collecting your tree (which is then recycled). Last New Year we raised a huge £26,000 for the Hospice and we would love to match, if not excel, this coming festive season.

If you would like to volunteer or would be interested in offering sponsorship in some way please contact Bec or Chloe on 01223 675888 or email fundraising@arhc.org.uk
