The Alliance Française Cambridge in collaboration with the Arts Picturehouse Cambridge will present on Monday the 21st of March at 6.30 pm the screening of “Marguerite” following by a Q&A with our special guest Milosz Paul Rosinski.

Milosz Paul Rosinski currently completes a doctorate in the Department of French at the University of Cambridge. His dissertation is a film theoretical text on the philosophical notion of the self in contemporary European art film. Before coming to Cambridge he studied Philosophy, Literature, and Visual Arts in Germany, The Netherlands, France, and the United States

Storyline:
Paris, 1920s. Marguerite Dumont is a wealthy woman, lover of the music and the opera. She loves to sing for her friends, although she’s not a good singer. Both her friends and her husband have kept her fantasy. The problem begins when she decides to perform in front of a real audience.
