As part of the Cambridge Science Festival 2016, the Alliance Française Cambridge is proud to present the talk, Big Data: the missing link on Saturday, the 12th of March 2016.

As Big Data Chief Architect at Deloitte in the City, Chartered Engineer in France, MIT, Stanford Ignite, (fortunate enough to live in the glorious university town of Cambridge), Adrien Arculeo will share some of the insights he has gleaned from Big Data projects he leads for 7 years for ambitious big companies, and for no more ambitious but perhaps more innovative startups.

After a very quick recap of what is Big Data, and its most visible and shiny application Data Science, Adrien will share some of the most pressing challenges of the field, and will debunk in passing some counterproductive myths.

Following with his own views, he will discuss a central part of Big Data endeavours, often forgotten yet critical for success. He will argue also that it is not incidental that French chartered engineers excel at it, and that this opens tremendous opportunities when coupled with what British teams can bring to projects.

Accustomed to adapt to senior business audiences at Deloitte, as Subject Matter Expert, Adrien will ask the audience to vote on what they want to hear as a conclusion.

Either he will present an in-depth case study presenting what can typically go wrong in a Big Data project. Or he will go about a breadth of industry applications.

Please note that after his conference, Adrien, always interested in finding better ways to serve organisations in their quest for customer relevance, performance and business agility, will be available for a Big Data projects clinic and provide one-to-one recommendations for those interested.
