Join the Friends of Wilton Terrace to oppose its demolition & construction of high-rise offices

Venue: Outside Wilton Terrace
Category: History & Heritage
Time Info: 6:30pm to 7:15pm
Councillors in Cambridge voted 5 to 2 to approve the fourth application from developers to demolish Victorian Wilton Terrace and to construct a high-rise monolithic office block. The building would be 17,245 sqm and the highest point would be 8 metres higher than Kings College Chapel.
However, Communities Minister Greg Clark MP told Cambridge City Council that he was minded to ‘call in’ the application if the Council approved the application. He has 21 days from the date of the Planning Meeting on 2 September to decide whether to intervene and overturn the permission.
There are two ways you can help:
1. Join us outside Wilton Terrace on Thursday 17 September at 6.30pm
We'll hand out leaflets and ask people to sign the petition.
2. Sign our petition to Greg Clark MP
