Saturday 25th July 2015

Venue: St John's College Chapel
Category: Gigs & Live Music
One Liner: Two gigs, one night!
Price Info: See description
Time Info: 5:30pm / 8:30pm

The Dowsing Sound Collective - Cambridge’s largest immersive, experimental band with a line-up of 100 singers and anywhere between five and fifteen instrumentalists - strips down for a semi-unplugged gig in the rare acoustic of St John’s College Chapel. In the last eighteen months alone The DSC has performed to full houses in the Cambridge Corn Exchange and Trinity College and sold out The Union Chapel (London), plus collaborated with some of Britain’s best musical talent, including global stars Basement Jaxx, folk legend Boo Hewerdine (and rising stars Megson) and electro-dub wizard Dirty Freud. Quench sees the Cambridge band take a more subtle approach to its characteristically eclectic set lists while unfurling tracks by brilliant artists such as Alabama Shakes, Champs, Vampire Weekend and The Polyphonic Spree.

The gig will be performed twice in one night, with an early gig at 5.30pm and a later show at 8.30pm (no interval during either set). Capacity in the venue is limited, the seats are unreserved and the gigs are expected to sell out, so guests are advised to book now and arrive early on the night to get the best spot.

Ticket prices:
£16.50 main chapel / £8.50 ante chapel - concessions £14.50 main chapel / £7 ante chapel
