Beethoven Schubert, the last sonatas

As part of his ongoing series of performances and lectures exploring the development of sonata form in 19th-century Germany, Clare Hall’s Musician-in-Residence, Patrick Hemmerlé will be performing Beethoven's last three sonatas, Opus 109, 110 and 111, on Saturday 7 March. This will be followed by a performance on Sunday 8 March of Schubert’s sonatas D958, 959 and 960, profoundly influenced by Beethoven, and composed consecutively in the final months of Schubert’s life.

Open to all, these concerts begin at 7.30pm, and will take place in the Main Dining Hall at Clare Hall. Tickets are £15 each or £20 for both concerts, with a 50% discount for students.
