MusicNet East will be running a Music Workshop Leader Convention in Cambridge on Saturday 6th December, in partnership with Cambridge University, Faculty of Education.

The day will feature lots of practical workshop sessions, chances to share ideas and learn effective practice from experienced workshop leaders, and lots of live jammming.

The day will be of interest to:

•Experienced workshop leaders interested to develop their practice
•Schools and organisations interested to begin offering musical workshops to support social inclusion
•Instrumental and vocal peripatetic tutors
•Classroom practitioners looking to diversify their practice
•PGCE Music trainees
•People interested to learn about latest developments in informal music education
•Musicians interested in becoming music workshop leaders/tutors
•Inclusion workers who don’t think of themselves as musicians, but who'd like to use music
